Strike causes chaos for French rail travellers

A national strike led by rail workers in France has led to the cancellation of half the country's regional trains
The strike is in protest against proposed pension reforms.
Public transport workers in more than 50 towns and cities agreed through their union to the strike which is expected to expand with other workers.
Throughout France, demonstrations against the austerity pension package have been planned for this afternoon.
Other public sector workers, including postal staff and energy sector personnel, are expected to join in the protests.
