Nigeria deserves what they are getting at the moment. More Nigerians would have died in that plane if the bomber has succeeded. It is good that the rest of the world are now beginning to se us in our true image. But when will Nothern Nigeria stop being a huge embarrassment to the rest of us? Having said that, I wish to say that the West particularly Britain and USA are hypocrites. If Nigeria should be classed as a terrorist nation because of this one incident which USA and Britain were even fore- warned about, then Usa and Britain should also make that list because their own citizens have also been involved in terrorist activities. My advice to Nigerian Government is, tit for tat; for once let’s give back to USA and Britain whatever they give to us.

While I am an outright supporter of President Barrack H. Obama, I still see that people like you refuse to read the facts through.

The wikipedia information is based on the puported but false information given by the Inglorious Obansanjo administration. Already, the immediated past vice-president of Christain Association of Nigeria (a Presbitarian) has challenged that claim. We know that unofficially christains form roughly 60%(if not more) of the nigerian populace. Other religions (e.g. Paganism or indeginious African religions) form roughly 5% of the populace.

So where those that live the Muslims. It is a well know fact that in Lagos state - the most populous state in Nigeria of over 18million inhabitants (where the governor is a muslim), over 65% of the people are not Lagosians by origin. Go to the market - Oshodin, teju-Osho etc, and you will find that the bulk of the people self professed christains.

Bulk of these traders are Igbos (who we can rightly say have over 95% christainity). The fourth largest Ethnic group the Ijaws in the Niger-Delta and costal settlements from west-coast to the east Coast are nominally christains. Just take a census head count of the Catholics alone in lagos and you would find that they are over several millions. Then add the Anglicans, the pentecostals and the indeginous churhes - then you would arrive at your conclusion. In fact durin the x-mas festivities when over 50% the easterners and other states indegenes in Lagos move home to celebrate the traffic flow in lagos drastically eases.

A very large population(if not more than half) of the Yorubas fron the western states are Christains.

Over 95% of the Niger-Delta states (Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Rivers and, Bayelsa States) are Christains. In fact the main place you find Muslims in the Niger-Delta is in the Etsako tribe in Edo North (where Christains may even form over 50% of that population). Etsako(afemia) is divided into two local goverments. The present state governor who is from Etsako is a christain(Comrade Adams Oshiomole).

Going to the middle belt, Benue and Plateau (across rivers Niger and Benue)states have predominantly Christains. Kaduna state is roughly split even between Christains and Muslims.

Kwara State - despite being dominated politically by a family, are so-called royal families who are muslims have confortable an evenly balanced christain to muslim ratio. That is if not tilting balance towards the Christains. ( here I invite you to take a tour of Illorin the state capital and see how many parishes, churches are spread all over. And even new ones are being built.

Even the Federal Capital, Abuja(despite the injustice done the Christains by the Military dictator Ibrahim Babangida regime - where the federal mosque was built with oil money fron the Christain Niger-Delta and the christain community was asked to raise money on her own to built the National interdenominational church) has a very large christain populatio.

Despite all the plans by the Ailing prresident to remove keys christains from key positions and replacing the with northern muslims e.g Minister for Petroleum (Niger-Delta resources) is Old Rilwanu Lukman. Head of NNPC is also muslim (another injustice to the Niger-Delta). Central bank governor was removed to be replaced by another muslim Saloudu in the name of federal character. We can go on and on.

Wikipedia should get her facts right by doing an on hand/ on the ground survey before printing misleading information. Granted the upper- nothern states are muslims, but you can’t remove the fact that population density per sqaure kilometer is always more denced in caostal regions and regions where there is more natural resources and financial resources in any part of the world.

The bone of contention here is that an uneducated mind - the son of a northern elite has put over 150 millions nigerians in bad light. Vast majority of nigerias love life and would not want to die in the name of religous intolerance.

Get your facts right Sir Ron and Wikipedia. We are peace loving people otherwise we could have long split.

No Leader no voice

Can Nigerians not see it?, if you have no leader to speak on your behalf in the World stage, your 150m citizens are like wanderers with no right, respect,opinion and can be insulted by any government. Ex leaders like OBJ and IBB are curses (no blessing) to the Nigeria nation.
