BEIJNG, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- October 17 marks World Singing Day. Each year on the 3rd Saturday in October, people around the globe gather in groups of all sizes to sing all kinds of songs to celebrate this special occasion.

The goal of the day is to host a world-wide sing-along that fosters unity and harmony through a common experience. Everyone, from shower singers to celebrities, can sing.

World Singing Day is the global sing-along for everyone. Let's join hands and sing out loud.
