BEIJING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- October 20 marks International Chefs Day. Created in 2004 by Dr. Bill Gallagher, a renowned chef and former president of the World Association of Chefs Societies (World Chefs), this special day aims to honor the noble profession and to educate people around the world about healthy eating. It's also a day for chefs to pass on their knowledge and culinary skills to the next generation of chefs.
The theme for International Chefs Day 2020 is "Healthy Food For the Future". As we celebrate International Chefs Day, let's seize the occasion to recognize the efforts and sacrifices of all the chefs who continue to display passion and commitment through hard work amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
