Australia's Ashleigh Barty is the year-end World No. 1 for the second straight season, the WTA announced on Monday.
Barty is the 11th player to finish the year with the No. 1 ranking in back-to-back years.
Romania's Simona Halep is No. 2, followed by Japan's Naomi Osaka, American Sofia Kenin and Ukraine's Elina Svitolina.
Osaka won the U.S. Open. Kenin won the Australian Open and lost to Iga Swiatek of Poland in the French Open final. Wimbledon was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic is No. 6. Canada's Bianca Andreescu, Czech Petra Kvitova, Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands and Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus round out the Top 10.
Sabalenka won the final event of the season on Sunday, beating Elise Mertens of Belgium in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz. The win pushed Sabalenka into the Top 10 and knocked American icon Serena Williams out of it and down to No. 11.
U.S. Open finalist Victoria Azarenka of Belarus finished 13th and Australian Open runner-up Garbine Muguruza of the Spain is 15th.
Swiatek is 17th in the final rankings.
