TIANJIN, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Tianjin Port set a new record of 18.35 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) for its container throughput in 2020, or a year-on-year growth of 6.1 percent.

China Tianjin Container Freight Index (TCI), an indicator of northern China's international container freight rates, stood at 1,871.41 points on Monday, up 0.64 percent compared with the previous working day.

As a sub-index of the Tianjin Shipping Index, TCI is published on working days and was first published in September 2010. It is issued by the Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center in northern China's Tianjin Municipality.
