CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, March 8 (PIA) - The allotted Sinovac vaccines to Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC) and San Antonio City of Ilagan Hospital (SACIH) have been inoculated to its health workers today.

At SIMC, Asst. Center chief Dr. Emmanuel Salamanca was the first medical staff to be vaccinated of Sinovac vaccines while OIC SACIH Administrator Richard Cabrera took the shot from a fellow health worker.

The hospital officials said they signified to take the vaccines publicly believing that it will protect them from the threat of Covid-19.

City officials of Ilagan and Santiago were supporting the vaccination roll out as they were present during the vaccination roll out today.

Last week, DOH-2 received more than 10,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines that were donated by Chinese government and were distributed in various DOH-run hospitals in the region including some LGU - operated hospitals intended for the health workers.

The public vaccination of health officials against Covid-19 aims to boost the interest of the public to get vaccinated once enough supply of the vaccines are available. (BME/MGE - PIA-2/Isabela)
