DHAKA, Bangladesh - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched "Made in Bangladesh Week-2022" on Sunday to showcase the country's apparel sector to the rest of the world.
The week-long event, with the theme "Care for Fashion," began Sunday morning at the Hall of Fame of the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka and will run until November 18.
The main goal of the event is to promote "Made in Bangladesh," as the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) wants to maintain and increase the market share of Bangladeshi apparel in the global market.
The week-long mega event would also provide opportunities for global value chain partners to collaborate to address global challenges.
People from both home and abroad, particularly international buyers and associates, attended the ceremony.
