BEIJING, June 1 (Xinhua) -- "Fast X" stayed on top of the Chinese mainland box office chart on Wednesday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
The film generated a total daily box office of nearly 12.61 million yuan (about 1.78 million U.S. dollars) on its fifteenth day of screening. The total box office revenue of the latest installment to the Fast and Furious franchise has amassed 808 million yuan as of Wednesday.
The domestic road comedy "Godspeed" came in second, generating nearly 7.07 million yuan on Wednesday. The film tells the bittersweet story of a family of four accidentally embarking on a truck journey full of laughter and tears.
It was followed by "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," which raked in about 3.58 million yuan on Wednesday.
