MACAO, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- The All-Star Team of international players edged out the Chinese side 147-144 in the 11th Yao Foundation Charity Game Sunday evening in the Macao Special Administrative Region.

The two teams, which included notable players like Jeremy Lin, Isaiah Thomas, Fang Shuo, and Zhai Xiaochuan, played with intensity throughout the match. Their alley-oop dunks and precise three-point shots garnered significant applause. Additionally, some young players from the foundation's charity school sports project showcased their skills, impressing the audience.

Yao Ming, the founder of the foundation and president of the Chinese Basketball Association, commented before the game about the foundation's goal. He emphasized their commitment to supporting young individuals in China's rural areas, helping them grow in sports and envision a brighter future.

This event wasn't just about the charity game. It encompassed a series of side activities, including a basketball carnival, a campus visit, and various community engagements.

Since its establishment in 2007, the Yao Foundation Charity Game has been an annual tradition for a decade. This year's event was organized by the Yao Foundation and the China Youth Development Foundation. It was co-sponsored by the Chinese Basketball Association and the Macao-China Basketball Association.
